Launching Maker Mode
An online developer agency for small businesses
Hey friends,
Quick turns here.
I’ ve had a long break from writing, and I cannot leave you in the dark any longer.
The biggest news for the past year is that I became a father of four, we got a baby boy in October. Adapting to new “baby-routines” again has been my top priority.
Despite the challenges of incorporating a new life into our family and trying not to break things, I see it as another opportunity to be nimble. And with that I mean I will continue to explore and grow the world of technology while sharing my journey with you.
A few changes has taken effect recently.
Here are some of them, that will have a direct impact on You:
You have all been moved to “the hive”.
I will be using Beehiv as my newsletter publishing platform from now on.
Narrowing down my purpose: helping one-person businesses to get leverage through technology and AI tools.
Doubling down on my personal brand, TheNimblegeek. I have half-assed this for too long now and decided it’s time to lean into this for real.
But this newsletter is just a creative outlet where I share the outcomes, results, insights and learnings from my actions out there.
Maker Mode - an online developer agency
As a step to contribute to a better world where small businesses doesn’t have to feel behind I figured I would fill in that gap by offering my expertise in shipping products and software.
I created a business that helps small business become profitable without being tricked into fancy long-lasting IT projects and stuck in contracts that make their budgets bleed.
Also, instead of being happy with shipping SaaS solutions I created a dev agency instead. Enabling others to ship. Selling the techniques and components to build their own shovels in the gold rush.
I assume I do a lot of things wrong here. But no learnings without any action.
I will be using AI tools to speed up the development process, but I will not let this business slip into the mindful trap of leaving all the thinking and reasoning to the AI agents.
Maker Modes main goal and mission would be to help small businesses that don’t have the capacity of a development team. To prosper in a digitally driven world, you need the resources and knowledge to handle that. And that is where Maker Mode comes in. To help small actors become profitable, by leveraging tech.
This excites me enough and is challenging enough that it almost scares me to stick my neck out on this one.
It is time to build. Time to practice and get better. Train and nurture those skills and gifts I was given.
Until next time!
Stay curious, stay nimble.
